Study Programs
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso has designed three special Study Programs for the systematic study and practice of Kadampa Buddhism that are especially suited to the modern world: the General Program, Foundation Program, and Teacher Training Program.
The General Program (GP)
The General Program introduces basic Buddhist view, meditation and action, to help practitioners deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism. Checking out a General Program is a great way to explore what Buddhism has to offer and how these profound teachings can vastly improve the quality of our day-to-day life.
All classes are open to everyone.
Check out our branches to find a GP offered near you. If you would like to request teachings in your area, please contact us here.
The Foundation Program (FP)
The purpose of the Foundation Program is to provide a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism to enable practitioners to deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.
We are currently studying the text Eight Steps to Happiness, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Eve Arias teaches FP at Odiyana Center.
If you're interested in participating in the Foundation Program, please contact our Educational Program Coordinator for more information:
